I love the feel of wood and the individuality of each piece of wood. When turned, wood can evoke a sense of life and harmony. I love to tell a story or evoke an emotion that wouldn't have been possible any other way.
Trees look so peaceful and yet they reveal their growing pains when you look inside. I especially like to work with wood that, like all of us, has become more beautiful while surviving life's trials.
I am currently exploring the expressions of the created world and how the wonder of creation may be felt through woodturning. |
